The website may also use technologies provided by our hosting or form-service providers when you submit a contact form or join the waitlist.
Cappup does not use pet activity information for third-party targeted advertising.
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising pixels, or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or consent controls required by applicable law.

We do not sell pet activity records.
5. How We Share Information
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate Cappup, provide requested services, comply with law, or protect the service.
Supabase
Cappup uses Supabase for services including:
- user authentication;
- account and profile information;
- pet records;
- meal records;
- potty records;
- symptom records;
- weight records;
- cloud database services;
- pet-photo storage; and
- server-side account-management functionality.
Access to Cappup’s cloud database and private pet-photo storage is restricted through authentication and access-control policies.
Hostinger
We use Hostinger for website and email-related services.
Depending on the service being used, Hostinger may process:
- website requests;
- IP addresses and other server information;
- contact-form information;
- email addresses; and
- the contents of support or account-related email messages.
Apple
Apple processes App Store downloads and any in-app subscription purchases made through Apple’s payment systems.
Apple may provide Cappup with information necessary to determine whether a subscription or purchase is active, expired, renewed, cancelled, or refunded.
Apple’s processing of your information is governed by Apple’s own privacy practices.
Superwall
Superwall is used to provide paywall and subscription-related functionality.
Superwall will process paywall interactions, application events, subscription or transaction information, device information, Cappup account identifiers that we choose to provide, and related usage information necessary to provide its services.
We do not provide Superwall with your pet’s meal, potty, symptom, or weight notes for advertising purposes.
Legal and Business Disclosures
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with law, regulation, legal process, or lawful government request;
- enforce our agreements;
- investigate fraud or security incidents;
- protect Cappup, our users, or others from harm; or
- protect our legal rights.
If Freedom Street LLC or Cappup is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
We require service providers that process personal information on our behalf to protect that information consistently with their contractual obligations, applicable law, and the protections described in this Privacy Policy.
6. Photos and Device Permissions
Camera
If you choose Take Photo for your pet’s profile, Cappup requests access to your device’s camera.
Camera access is optional. You may decline permission and continue using Cappup without taking a profile photo.
Photo Selection
If you choose an existing image, Cappup uses Apple’s photo-selection functionality to allow you to select a photo.
Selecting a photo makes the selected image available to Cappup so it can be used as your pet’s profile photo.
Cappup does not require unrestricted access to your entire photo library solely to use Apple’s system photo picker.
You may change device permissions for Cappup through iOS Settings.
Revoking permission prevents future access under that permission but does not automatically delete information you previously uploaded to Cappup.
You may remove information through available Cappup controls or delete your account as described below.
7. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
On-Device Storage
Cappup stores certain application information locally on your device using Apple’s application-storage technologies, including SwiftData and system preferences.
This local information may include cached copies of your pet profile and activity history to support application functionality.
Removing the Cappup app from your device generally removes data stored inside the application’s local container. Deleting the app does not by itself delete your Cappup cloud account or cloud-stored information.
Cloud Storage
Cloud-backed Cappup information may be stored using Supabase services, including:
- account/profile information;
- pet information;
- activity logs;
- weight records; and
- pet profile photos.
Cloud information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers and their subprocessors operate.
Retention
We generally retain account and pet information for as long as your Cappup account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the service.
Waitlist or optional marketing information may be retained until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.
Security, transaction, and technical records may be retained for a reasonable period where necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Account Deletion
You can initiate account deletion directly inside the Cappup app.
Open Cappup, sign in, open Settings, select Delete Account, and follow the confirmation steps.
When the account-deletion process completes, Cappup deletes the account and associated Cappup data from its active systems, including associated cloud pet records and stored pet profile photos, except where retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for matters such as fraud prevention, security, accounting, or legal claims.
Copies of deleted information may temporarily remain in routine service-provider backups until those backups are overwritten or expire according to the provider’s retention practices.
Deleting Cappup from your device or signing out does not delete your cloud account.
Subscriptions and Account Deletion
If you have an active App Store subscription, deleting your Cappup account does not necessarily cancel billing for that subscription.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. You can review or cancel an App Store subscription through your Apple account’s subscription settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.
These safeguards include measures such as:
- authenticated account access;
- database access controls;
- row-level access policies intended to restrict users to their own information;
- private cloud-storage access controls for pet photos;
- secure network connections provided by our service providers; and
- keeping privileged server credentials out of the iOS application.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your Cappup account or information may have been compromised, contact us at hello@cappup.app.
9. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Access and Correction
You can update supported account and pet-profile information using Cappup’s available controls.
You may also contact us at hello@cappup.app to request access to or correction of personal information associated with you.
Data Deletion
You may delete your Cappup account directly through the app as described in Section 7.
You may also contact us regarding a privacy or deletion request.
We may need to take reasonable steps to verify that a person submitting a request is authorized to act on the relevant account.
Device Permissions
You can manage optional permissions, including camera access, through iOS Settings.
Email Communications
You can unsubscribe from optional marketing communications by using the unsubscribe option provided in the message, where available, or by contacting us.
Account, security, transaction, or other service-related messages may still be sent when necessary to operate your account or provide a service you requested.
Additional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you additional rights concerning your personal information, which may include rights to:
- know or access information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- obtain a portable copy of certain information;
- restrict or object to certain processing; or
- appeal or complain about certain privacy decisions.
We will respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.
10. Children’s Privacy
Cappup is intended for adult dog owners and caregivers. It is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13 in circumstances where parental consent is required, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information or otherwise comply with applicable law.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to Cappup, contact us at hello@cappup.app.
11. No Sale of Personal Information and Advertising
Cappup does not sell your pet activity records or personal information for monetary consideration.
Cappup does not use pet meal, potty, symptom, weight, or profile information to provide third-party targeted advertising.
Cappup does not currently operate an advertising network.
If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any consent or choices required by applicable law and Apple’s platform requirements before using information for the new purpose.
12. International Processing
Cappup and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where applicable law requires specific safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we and our service providers will use appropriate transfer mechanisms or other legally recognized safeguards.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Cappup, our service providers, or applicable requirements change.
When we update the policy, we will revise the Last Updated date above and publish the updated version.
If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or disclose personal information, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required by applicable law.
